Future services
At this current time, Kilbryde Hospice operate the Kilbryde Day Hospice Drop-in Centre within the NHS Lanarkshire Red Deer Centre in East Kilbride while we build our own purpose build hospice. The current centre operates Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm and offers a range of service by our nursing staff and volunteers, however our future build allows us to build on and expand these current services.
Kilbryde Hospice is now moving into the next stage of its development. We are finalising the plans to start the build of our new Hospice building to the rear of Hairmyres Hospital. The next 12 months are a very exciting time!
Full details of our new build will be announced over the coming months but we can confirm that the new Hospice will operate in a number of key stages, the first being the transfer and expansion of our existing Day Hospice Drop-in Centre currently at the Red Deer over to the new Hospice building.
Your input to additional services that we can provide is very welcome as we want the new hospice services to respond to the needs of the local community. While we build up to including an in-patient facility to the hospice and expanding our services to become 24 / 7, there is scope to increase our current range of services to meet user need. So please get in touch and let us know what would be most helpful for you. This could include counselling support, more illness specific clinics, financial advice or additional social activities. We really will value your input.
