An A to Z of Fundraising Ideas
Sometimes it can be a little bit daunting to know where to start when you’re fundraising. What types of events are easiest to organise? What types of events are most successful? What types of events are most fun?
To help you, we’ve compiled an A to Z of fundraising ideas. It is by no means a comprehensive list. Do let us know if you’re up for something else, because we’re here to help you.

A is for – Arts and crafts. Whatever your talent – be it knitting or card-making – why not hold an exhibition of your work with the proceeds donated to Kilbryde Hospice?
B is for – Burn’s Supper. This January, invite some friends round for some Cullen Skink, haggis, neeps and tatties and cranachan – perhaps even a wee dram – in honour of The Bard. Burn’s Suppers are a fantastic fundraiser for golf clubs, bowling clubs and Canadians.
C is for – Car boot sale. Spring clean your house, loft and/or garage and donate the day’s sales to Kilbryde Hospice. Our very own Hospice Car Boot Sale at the Busby Hotel early this year was a great success, check out the website for dates of future car boot sales.
D is for – Dress down day. Everyone’s favourite, surely?
E is for – eBay. Register yourself on eBay or another auction site and auction off your old, unwanted items. If you select Kibryde Hospice as your nominated charity you’ll ensure the Hospice receives a share of the commission on each item.
F is for – Football. Whether it’s a Friday night five-a-side or a full blown football tournament, either are ideal for raising money for Kilbryde Hospice.
G is for – Golf Day. You are guaranteed a laugh at our Annual Andy Cameron Classic Golf Day. But always remember to bring two pairs of socks, in case you get a hole in one!
H is for – Halloween Party. Probably best organised around the 31st of October.
I is for – In Celebration. Whether it’s a birthday, engagement or wedding anniversary, congratulations from everyone at Kilbryde Hospice. Why not ask your friends and family to make a donation in your name to celebrate the event?
J is for – JustGiving. Whatever your fundraising plans, remember to create your very own Kilbryde Hospice JustGiving page. It only takes 5 mins to set up, and is a safe and friendly way to collect donations from your friends and family.

L is for – Lands End to John O’Groats. Or vice versa. Whatever works best for you. Earlier this year Team Nelson completed more than 1,000 miles from Lands End to John O’Groats in a cycle relay in support of Kilbryde Hospice in just 70 hours. Legends.
M is for – Marathon. Loch Ness, London or New York – 26 miles in aid of Kilbryde Hospice.
