That is, thanks to members of the Eaglesham Round Table. On Friday 7th of October, The Eaglesham Round Table held at Comedy Night in The Eglinton Arms Hotel in aid of Kilbryde Hospice. More than 110 guests were entertained by comedians from The Stand Comedy Club in Glasgow and at the same time £6,000 was raised for Kilbryde Hospice.

As Barry Cuthbertson of the Eaglesham Round Table explained, “We wanted to support a local charity and Kilbryde Hospice was the perfect choice.” Barry added, “The hospice already provides such invaluable services and support through the day hospice, and with building of the new hospice planned for 2012 this seemed like the perfect time to support such a worthy cause.”

Here the cheque for £6,000 is presented to Donna Hegarty, Business Development Manager with Kilbryde Hospice by members of The Eaglesham Round Table. Donna praised Barry and the fellow members of the organising committee, “We are extremely grateful for the efforts of The Eaglesham Round Table for their amazing support of Kilbryde Hospice. The £6,000 raised for Kilbryde Hospice is a fantastic achievement, and timely. With the building of the new hospice scheduled to begin in spring 2012, we need local support more than ever.” Donna added, “The Comedy Night was a great success – a mixture of belly laughs and brilliant banter.“
