A special one-off event in memory of Tony McGuinness was announced this week. ‘The Autumn Ball’ will be a glamorous event at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Glasgow and is being organised by his grandchildren. Proceeds from the evening will be split equally between Kilbryde Hospice and St Margaret’s Hospice in Clydebank where Mr McGuinness received incredible care in his last few weeks.
Paul Gallagher, the eldest grandchild of Tony commented, ‘All the grandchildren decided that the best way to remember our Papa would be through more fundraising for the cause that he fought so hard for over the last few years of his life, but we were also very keen to recognise the magnificent work of the staff at St Margaret’s Hospice’.
The event will take place on Saturday September 10th 2011 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Glasgow. There will be a champagne reception from 7pm followed by a three course meal and music provided by the fabulous Marcus Pope 17-piece ‘Big Band’ who will be performing swing, rat pack and modern classics. If you would like to purchase a table of ten please contact Paul Gallagher on 07590 984 606. A limited number of individual seats are also available through Stuart Glen at the Kilbryde Hospice office on 01698 717 260.
