My Image

On Sunday 11th of September, St. Bride’s Church parishioners re-established a tradition of holding a summer fête –and this year, all proceeds from the event were donated to Kilbryde Hospice.

As John Henvey, Chair of the organising committee explained, “We wanted to support a well-deserving local charity and Kilbryde Hospice was the perfect choice.” John added,“This year’s fête was enjoyed by many, many people and together we’ve raised a significant sum of money for Kilbryde Hospice.”

Indeed they have, here a cheque for £2,100 is presented to Dennis Gallagher, Chairman of Kilbryde Hospice. Dennis praised John and the fellow members of the organising committee, “We are grateful for the efforts of John, the organising committee and the congregation of St. Bride’s Parish Church. Those involved produced a fun-filled fête that supported Kilbryde Hospice to the tune of £2,100. That’s just wonderful.”

Such was the success of the St. Bride’s Parish Fête there are already plans to make the event an annual event.
